The Schuyler Fire Department is holding their annual banquet/dance on January 29th, 2011.  The event will be held at the historic Oak Ballroom in Schuyler, Nebraska.

 

During the banquet, there will be a silent auction with many items up for bid.  Q-Graphix has donated a custom designed Schuyler Fire & Rescue mailbox.  Happy bidding!

Schuyler Dance Team holds clinic

LET'S DANCE!
The Schuyler Dance Team held a dance clinic on Friday, January 23rd  2011.  The clinic was open to area youth and was a great success!   Held at Schuyler Central High School, all the participants were treated to pizza from Casey's Pizza and a t-shirt designed and printed by Q-Graphix/Squid Ink Tees.

The Dance Team, along with all the participating kids, took center court at half time during the Schuyler Warriors varsity basketball game that evening.  The 70+ Dance Team members and kids danced to some great tunes to the delight of the crowd.

The Schuyler Warriors Dance Team did I great job choreographing the dance steps and teaching all the participants the moves in very little time, so they would be ready to perform at half time.

Schuyler Warrior Wrestling T-Shirts printed by SQUID INK TEES/Q-GRAPHIX

The 2011 T-Shirts printed for The Schuyler Wrestling Club are pretty cool.  Squid Ink Tees/Q-Graphix designed and printed them with a grunge, affliction type feel.  The shirts were printed on a 50/50 Gildan T-shirt using a variety of techniques to pull off the unique design.

On the back right shoulder of each shirt is the Club's motto "RESPECT EVERYONE, FEAR NO ONE!"

Al Sucha, the Wrestling Club's Director assisted Q-Graphix in the design phase of the shirts.  There were certain elements Al wanted to make sure were incorporated into the design to keep in tradition with club shirts Q-Graphix has printed in the past.

SQUID INK TEES VERSACAMM

I love the virtual unlimited abilities of the Roland Versacamm.  The machine works great for banners, signs and all types of graphics.  I have used it for printing one off t-shirts for people.  The end results are good...but I still prefer the look and feel of screen printing.  The iron-on transfer look kind of distracts from the overall graphics of the design.  You can just see that it is an iron-on.

I think it will lend itself well for quick, one off designs.  But for large orders it will never do.

One nice thing about it, is there are virtually no limitations to the design.  Anything I can create in photoshop, multiple colors...anything.... I can print on a shirt, which is nice.
